Crucial Tips
 
  • During art cycling, NO other special inputs can be registered until an art is selected (including selecting an art on cooldown). This means you cannot perform Vision, Back Slash and (most importantly) Air Slash until an art is selected.  This means you cannot act until Frame 47 for selecting an art on cooldown, and not until Frame 53 - nearly a full second! - after selecting an available Monado Art (46 frames + 6 frames for FAF of Monado Art Activaction Pose).
  • The table says it requires 60 frames to fully deactivate an active art via holding special, but the art will officially deactivate on the 61st frame. This means that you cannot do anything even on that 61st frame such as moving or attacking. Do nothing for those 61 frames, & you'll be revered as a super patient player!
  • If Shulk undergoes any form of hitlag from being hit, being hit on his bubble shield, hitting an opponent's bubble shield, or clashing / clanking with another attack, the Monado Art activation will be delayed (i.e. last longer than the normal 46 frames). However, it is NOT delayed during hitlag from Shulk directly hitting an opponent. This is most important to note for MALLC timing.
